This is Kenya. Does anyone seriously believe that a Moi would spend even a single minute in jail? These are among The Owners Of Kenya.

And i thought we have a new and very progressive constitution that makes all of us equal before God(or g0D) and man!

Still, the new, progressive constitution was meant to wean us off from the shamba la wanyama manenos. But it looks like the more things change, the more they remain the same.

I am surprised there are now people who are trying to blame innocent cops who are only trying to protect theirs and their families lives for all the stupid things going on in the Moi household. Kenyans amaze me.

What if michuki ordered the same police to shoot to kill you would they have hesitated? Would they mind that you also have a family? Now they care more abt their own families more than other people I just hate the police.

This is a good indicator that all 3 arms of Govt i.e Parliament, Judiciary and Executive have to work in harmony for the country to run efficiently.
Parliament has most probably come up with a flawed law in regards to Child support/Alimony. Judge GBM Kariuki has no choice but to use the same law. The executive[Police] have a choice of either taking their time or not acting at all if they think justice has not been done to Mr. Moi. I personally feel the KES 250k per month judgement is on the higher side and not sustainable in the long run . A solution is for Moi to lobby parliament to amend the law so that it takes care of child support issues fairly such that Moi can cater for the financial needs of his kids/enstranged wife in a manner that he feels is affordable and fair . As it is, women groups have won in terms of lobbying for laws which favour them in such child suport issues. Judiciary has no choice but to give orders as per law. Police can choose to obey or not to e.g the Bashir case-Executive has stated publicly that they will not enforce the arrest warrant.

Kenyan laws are useless. They only apply to those below the law, the pariahs.

@lyudmila The laws are useless because society does not lobby parliament to amend/improve them to be effective. They leave this work to NGOs e.t.c who push their own agendas.
Judiciary is left with no choice but to issue orders based on useless laws. The executive is again left with no choice but to act on orders based on useless laws.
This is the perfect recipe for national chaos, civil disobedience and disorder.

Here we are together. The Kenyan political landscape will have to experience a sudden shock of some sort to shatter things so that we can rebuild the pieces. The corrupt way is too endemic to be transformed piecemeal, sad truth. Meanwhile we do bandaid, minimize human tragedy. We can endure impunity. We cannot endure machettes.

@ Lyudmila..true..here tuko pamoja :-) the political landscape is the MPs who make the flawed laws. To change these people who are voted in by Kenyans will need a very efficient Electoral commission that vets and advises Kenyans not to vote in people who will rubber stamp any bill without proper indulgence. Also, the MPs voted in should be morally upright.
