My ma has a sharp eye for quality. She's recorded every cent she's spent in her life via log books, those books take up a whole book shelf spanning decades. Every lolly, every tic tac she's recorded it. Normal people keep a journal, she keeps a money journal. She knows the price of everything just by looking at it. I didn't inherit those genes but my sibling has, he records every cent he's spent. When he was a kid like 10? years old, he saved up every 2 bucks of pocket money each week for 2 years and oneday we saw a new TV in his room. His proof was in an excel spreadsheet he made with every date and buck he'd saved. We were all pretty damn shocked. Probably why he's got a few millions to spare today and I don't. Having said that, the richer they are the more damn miserly.

Uugh, you guys are seasoned vets hehehe, that's how I'm tryin to be like btw.

Anyways I think this is a meal we can both share while we entertain ourselves reading Kenyan blogs....

Bonappetite!

It's in the blood. Not mine though. My grandma's very wealthy. People know her. She owns a publishing firm among other things. She's got these fastidious hands. Makes everything herself, home made everything. She'd boil eggs and spend all night drawing designs on it instead of just buying normal d38252762d3d4fd229faae637fd13f4ets. I've never seen her in a shop spend anything. Grows and preserves food from her garden. Actually I don't even know where she lives, it's been different places every time we visit. Like she's never bought me a barbie doll, just knitted hideous caps for me, ugly green scarves, pretty boiled eggs. The fuck would I do with these at my age? She still thinks I'm 2 years old.

Popcorn? true!

I prefer raw cashews over popcorn. Popcorn isn't kosher.

She knitted me one of these. So frugal with the wool, has giant holes and doesn't even fit my head, like I'd have to pin it on to fit half my head. I've never even worn one of these in my life.

Scarf looks a bit like this.
