Anyone imagining of inheriting kikuyu votes must be day dreaming. One can only get kikuyu votes if no kikuyu is running, but still they cant be more than 50%,coz of voter apathy, they better not vote than voting an outsider.Truth be told, votes will go to Karua and PK.

Hague is their destiny, with or without Raila presidency, actually Mudavadi will prefer sending them to hague the first thing after being sworn in,thats the rule of power number 7.

pajero. plse stop this.also others with this sickening tribalism despite being educated people, cream of kenyan society. this everyday preaching tribalism at its worst doesn't help Kenya in the 21C. its very divisive as kenya goes to elections. you seem pathologically obsessed with Kikuyus.but Kenya has many tribes. i have seen on this site and elsewhere that kiuks can vote anyone else but raila and his 41 vs 1. i hear them say so as well. i have many kiuk friends and majority are reasonable nice people. elections are about wooing support not bashing tribes .how will you get your jacon, raila kiuk votes after 41 vs 1 and in addition your unreasonable daily obsession with them.get a life. in any case ,kenya is a democracy, each individual chooses what they want

It is realy normal that our first instinct is to vote for our tribesmate. In other countries, its race, religion, or region or cast or color, or even hue (shade of color) like between African Americans or in the Caribbean. Now, as society develops, they became sophisticated and ideology emerges upon which people can base their votes.

Kenyans first instinct will be to vote for their tribesmate. The burden is upon the presidential candidate to convince them that he offers a better choice than their tribesmate and this can only be based on issues. Kenya does not have a single tribe that can elect a president in its own and therefore presidential elections must be about issues to attract others who do not belong to your tribe. Also when everybody is from the same tribe then you have to belong to a strong political party or have strong issues to get people to vote for you.

If Uhuru is not running, in the primary, Mudavadi has the burden to convince the kikuyu that he offers to them a better future than Martha Karua or Peter Kenneth. The other non-kikuyu presidential candidates will be doing the same in kikuyuland. Raila will definately not concede the kikuyu vote if Uhuru is not running and so is Kalonzo. Mudavadi's strongest arguement is that he is being backed up by Baba Jimmy and that he is capable of putting together a winning coalition. This is is not given especially with Uhuru through Wamalwa beating him hard in Western province and Raila almost holding half of western province. Mudavadi's candidacy will not work without Uhuru's corporation. At this rate, if Uhuru is barred from running, he may just say "si hata huyu Raila ametosha". I doubt it but his rejection of Mudavadi may hand this thing over to Raila in a silver platter.
