On chocolate sundae matters

Discussion of general formal issues!

I had this tonight after a lengthy conversation with the guy at the counter on whether I could finish the sundae as it might be too much for me and I'm on a diet. He was like well, it is quite a lot, you might not finish it.. I went, you know what, I have to try to finish it right. I finished it in 2 minutes. A record for me. I scoffed the whole thing down like a hippo. I felt like a hippo afterwards but felt strangely calm about it. Waiter peered at me bewildered, smacking the chocolate off my lips, slurp, slurp, slurp.

It was delicious but a bit too light for my liking. I prefer stronger desserts. My palate is into strong flavours when it comes to desserts. Dark chocolate, plums, rum tasting cake. The chocolate at this store is not strong enough, I prefer Max Brenner chocolates although I hear it's evil or something. I generally don't do desserts from chain stores. Yes, you must let me treat you to a birthday dessert, in France or Singapore, you pick.

What kind of desserts do you like Ludy? :D

I'd love to be a critic of all sorts. A critic on food, music, art, anything I want. I figured my first passion is being a critic.

Sounds great...im just getting an appreciation for different types of cheesees and whole grain breads, thats my *theme for the next 3 months or so....but I have to tell you some of these cheeses cost more than a bar of gold :D, especially the European ones. Ive become like those people who go to eat in the cheese shop, taste everything and buy nothing tehehehe.

I can't eat a full meal. I can only eat bits and pieces of food. Seeing a roast duck would make me vomit. I don't eat meat either. I mean I eat chicken though but barely. It might be a wing, leg or breast for the month. Lots of food aren't kosher so I'm very careful with what I eat.

Omg that's what I've been having lately, cheese, lettuce and wholegrain breads ! :D If I'm with my ma she buys half the shop regardless of the cost. To her it's time getting out there isn't often so why not spend if it's worth it. The ability to recognize quality is an artform I'm still perfecting. To me, yes, I taste everything then compare prices, shop around, then purchase a couple days later once I've justified the quality but it still has to be a bargain or I'm not buying it. Is that what you do too?

I'd rather die than eat meat. The smell of meat makes me convulse. I would be vegan if it wasn't for the fact I love my desserts and cheese.

With menus like these, who cares for meats. We human beings should just not eat meat. If we can make food an art form, appreciated for gustation wonders, shoot up supplements whatever, then perhaps the planet won't die of starvation in the future. We all need to reduce our meat consumption. Join me Ludy.

Gee, never knew you felt this strongly about meat. I dont think ill ever be vegan or even skip meat for a day but I will think about it. How do you do it though, cant even imagine a life with no meat.

My ma has a sharp eye for quality. She's recorded every cent she's spent in her life via log books, those books take up a whole book shelf spanning decades. Every lolly, every tic tac she's recorded it. Normal people keep a journal, she keeps a money journal. She knows the price of everything just by looking at it. I didn't inherit those genes but my sibling has, he records every cent he's spent. When he was a kid like 10? years old, he saved up every 2 bucks of pocket money each week for 2 years and oneday we saw a new TV in his room. His proof was in an excel spreadsheet he made with every date and buck he'd saved. We were all pretty damn shocked. Probably why he's got a few millions to spare today and I don't. Having said that, the richer they are the more damn miserly.
