Absolutely. Somalia's success benefits Kenya and the region just as much as Kenyan success would. It can never be perfect but you are right that Africans will have to at least find out what time it is. The sooner the better, because it will happen.

Education, and I don't mean madrassa style, should go a long way in helping them recover. There should be a massive investment in education much like happened in post independent Kenya while her neighbors were busy investing in heavy weapons. The average Al Shabab is barely literate.
