Look at the areas higlighted in Green Red and Orange.
The Guy in red will have to join the lane moving almost at 0km/hr. Junging from the look of elevation of the road it seems like the sidemirror will be insufficient to help a such a driver acertain about the absence of any incoming vehicles(Keep in mind that Kenya is a Left Hand Drive country). The elevation also seems to denie a clear view of a driver accelarating on along the green arrow.
Picture this: it's a misty mid morning and a matatu driver is doing is madness along the green line. There is
woman driving her baby to school at the red circle. Assume that the Mathree guy is doing 35km/hr(Highly unlikely). The distance separating the Mama and the Mad matatu driver is apprximately 30 Metres. Do a quick calculation and you'll realize that the Matree guy will have approximately
3 SECONDS to try to avoid a collision.
I am travelling home this december - am scared already
