Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Eugene Wamalwa has denied claims that he will give up his Presidential ambitions to become a running mate for Deputy Prime Minister uhuru kenyatta in the coming elections. Wamalwa who was speaking after a meeting with the Kenya nutritionists and dietitians institute says that he is still in the race to becoming president. The justice minister also denied that he will be supporting uhuru’s candidacy in the upcoming elections. Speculation on the minister’s position has become widespread after his speech at the launch of uhuru’s TNA party

With the flop of TNA.. Uhuru without KANU just doesn't work. Uhuru has no credibility, support, direction, history or future without KANU. Coalition politics is not his strength. I can't see a political future for Uhuru aside from the Hague and a book about Kenya or something.

Did you hear that he promised goodies for the losers :D No to worry akina Rutoh and the G7 flower girls

Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta is likely to pick Justice and Constitutional Affairs minister Eugene Wamalwa as his running mate. Indications are that Uhuru, who according to sources was also considering Foreign Affairs minister Sam Ongeri, has finally settled on the Saboti MP.During the launch, Wamalwa was the only leader from the G7 alliance out of more than 70 MPs present picked to give a keynote address, a clear indication that Uhuru is considering him for a key position in the DPM’s political calculations. Not even Eldoret North MP William Ruto, who is a key ally of Uhuru and who was present at the launch, was accorded an opportunity to address the thousands of supporters who attended the event.

Uhuru is not desperate he will easily win first round with 4m -4.5m votes with or without wamalwa. Eugene need uhuru more than uhuru need eugene. Matter fact I think the best choice VP for uhuru would be ongeri to lock kisii votes and shore up the ticket on experience side.

All that's left is the battle for second place btwn Ruto and Raila which is neck to neck, if uhuru and RV gema pulls the lever for Ruto then its over for raila.

I wish you could put more meat in you rejoinder so we can have a more informed debate. I know you want raila to win however can you show us Raila path to state house? I am not uhuru supporter but I can tell you uhuru is unstoppable in round 1. The main is starting off the gates with 4 million solid votes.

I don't think Wamalwa is dumb enuf to vie for presidency as things stand. He simply can't get enuf votes. And he will not stand unless he's willing to lose his political career. Once things heat up, Mudamba is going nowhere. I'd advise Uhuru to pick a Somali running mate.. Abdirkadir would be a great option for him. I'd rather have Ruto though.
