Irengo trying to save face here. Just last night, he was emphatically telling the gathered media that his goD had quit. Kumbe the bugger forgot that there are timelines, procedures and a FORM 24A to be used for that purpose.

The choice is simple: continue to threaten and dream of 90 days and caretaker governments while hapless fools riot and take lead slugs to their buttocks, or resume campaigns a bit too late for a contest they are guaranteed to lose.

I think when he realized that he had based his withdrawal on a anon-binding opinion, he chickened out.

Salty/Natty, I think that it is a good thing for him to be on the ballot (this time by force or blunder)....so that when he looses, this time it will be fair and unassailable. If we allow him to withdraw, the myth in history will be that he never lost...rather he withdrew for the good of the country. Let him stay on the ballot so that on the 26th, we can retire him decisively ... and they will not tell maheni thereafter. This has turned from crisis to funny. Huyu jamaa is literary writing his eulogy and he cannot tell lies this time around
