Army officers who overthrow presidents end up in bad state, the list is very long.if I was an army officer,I would never get involved in a coup,

Gallant soldiers who have stood with the people. They should now go ahead and decapitate Mugabe in public.

This is how things will play out:

Military coup

Divisions within the army

Foreign governments and political factions will support different factions

Assassinations will follow

Lawlessness

Then anarchy.

Without Prejudice.

This was an in house coup so alignment will take shape without much blood. I think Mugabe made a dick mistake of not letting the men that have stood beside him for nearly 30 years in the struggle to continue his rule. He decided to go with his wife instead forcing the long term loyal friends buddies to turn enemies haraka sana. If things don't get sought soon,Mugabe may return back with vengeance because his Shona voters lover him to death. He'd win elections hands down any day in Zimbabwe. If masses love you,no one can touch you....this explains why Mugabe was in house arrest and not in prison. The majority of people in ZIM (Shona tribe), still approve Mugabe 40 years later! You cannot believe this...64% of Zimbabweans approve Mugabe largely because of his massive tribe. Shona comprise nearly 70% of the population followed by ndebele at 20% and minority groups and whites makeup the other 10%. Mugabe cannot be beat by anyone except his Shona tribesmen who can only put him in house arrest for few days

RVHH all these generals and veterans including Mnangagwa are Shona. Except the toxic Grace who is an alien. The other thing is Mugabe's age and failing health which makes this just a haste of the imminent demise. It's really a coup against Grace. I hope and expect it to go smoothly.

Yes, this is a shona vs shona thing. Whoever emerges from this rugged terrain successfully, will most likely continue Mugabenomics going forward. The best thing for Ndebele's Tsvangirai and whites are to stay low and wait for the fallout to subside. In the event they flex their weak muscle, the Shona house may be compelled to bury their hatchet quickly. and stay united against 'aggressors' as always. African despots from north to south have always been protected by their tribesmen.

Its an in house coup led by some senior military not all military officers support it,Its the mnangagwa grouping that has led this group while the other faction may not be happy,Not all Shona support the coup,This is the beginning of anarchy,

You forgot the Agosti mosi 1982 guy.

That curse keeps following him like a bad dream or a shadow.

Sample this:

This is a direct result of that evil coup attempt.

"Somebody tell Zimbabwe army officers..." that while Robert Mugabe was in the bush fighting for Zimbabwe independence, others were busy licking Ian Smith's bottom, being water boys, shamba boys, worshipping, attending to the white man ... leave Mugabe alone, he's 93, after he passes on, you can sort out Grace ... Mugabe has stood firmly against colonialism, White supremacy, neo-colonialism, cold war, economic sabotage, West conspiracies ... and still standing at 93!
