What are Raila's options now?

Unread post by Energizer » Mon Nov 20, 2017 3:00 am

Raila legal options are now down to exactly zero! No room to manoeuvre using constitutional legal mechanisms except demonstrations, but which the now legitimate govt can deal with if they turn violent, while ignoring whatever demands Raila makes. There will be no new elections, neither will Uhuru resign. So WHAT can Raila do now?

From his hideout in Zanzibar:
Kenyatta’s main challenger, NASA’s Raila Odinga, said in a statement by his adviser Salim Lone that the ruling “did not come as a surprise” and said “it was a decision taken under duress”, without giving evidence.

“We in NASA had repeatedly declared before this Supreme Court ruling today that we consider this government to be illegitimate and do not recognize it. This position has not been changed by the court ruling,” the statement said. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-keny ... SKBN1DK0KH

You mean he is already in Zanzibar? Perhaps he wants to direct his next coup attempt from there in safety while under Magufuli protection?

Raila Odinga will likely dedicate his energies now to upstaging William Ruto. He can nurture and support the next opposition ticket - a tall order by itself considering the windbags he has propped up. The biggest impediment is his selfishness and grandiosity.

Jaconman has zero option. He is retired.

Muthamaki and Ruto made him do it.

He will use violence but all that will be in vain.

As far as leadership [for Raila] goes, that toothpaste is out of the tube.

Now, he can't entertain the idea of Ruto being the next Muthamaki.

A wise man once said that "WENDO NDUOYAGÌRWO NJÙGÙMA".

If I may paraphrase those words, "ÙTONGORIA NDUOYAGÌRWO NJÙGÙMA".

Raila has been trying to force Kenyans to like him na hatumpendi.

He cannot force us to vote him president.

All,
Wanjigi thrived due to his mysterious and unknown personality. The media had only one old photo of him. That is gone. No more 10% commission simply because Uhuruto will never advocate for award of contracts to wanjigi aligned companies. These ching chongs will troop to Uhuruto on their knees.

As for baba, the noose will tighten. No more funds. Governors aligned to him will begin to feel the heat of their past thievery. Remember that 99% of them were forced back on the people by baba. Baba has commitments to basically everyone. He took money and chewed it while promising to deliver so so much. Think Nigerians, South Africans, Russians, Kenyan Muhindis like akina diamond, akina Arabs from coast. Deni ni kubwa.

His "loyal" mpigs will now wean themselves from his clutches. More independence and the need to perform. Zamani all that was required was to fund the old geezer and catch his eye. This time their positions will not be guaranteed by wazimu mkuu but by working for their people.

Baba is done. No plan B. Successors will begin daring him just like orengo did in the past and kidero in the resent past. The old man cannot sustain an erection yet wants all the beautiful girls at the dance. Atajua hajui.
