The National Super Alliance (NASA) also sent invitation cards for the inauguration slated for December 12, which will also be Kenya’s 54th independence day celebration. The countdown to Opposition chief Raila Odinga’s self-declared big day began yesterday with the creation of a team to oversee his swearing in as the people’s president. ALSO READ: NASA forms task force on People’s Assembly The National Super Alliance (NASA) also sent invitation cards for the inauguration slated for December 12, which will also be Kenya’s 54th independence day celebration. The appointment of the seven-member organising committee comes in the wake of Raila’s announcement on Tuesday that he will be sworn in as the people’s president through the people’s assemblies, which the Government as termed unconstitutional. The digital invitation cards with Raila’s names appended do not however indicate the venue of the event. “You are invited. Come witness the swearing-in of the peoples’ president Raila Amollo Odinga on 12th December at 12 noon. Location to be communicated after vetting of RSVP,” reads the card, which strictly admits one. Though details of the swearing-in are still scanty, NASA leaders said they are preparing for the event. It is not clear who will conduct the ceremony, its constitutional threshold, what instruments of power Raila will have, what kind of ceremony it will be and if a guard of honour will be mounted by defence forces as happens at the presidential swearing-in ceremony. That notwithstanding, NASA has indicated the event will be graced by regional and international leaders -- but their identity has also not been revealed. The coalition insists the event will be done constitutionally and will be bloodless, in seeking electoral justice in Kenya.

RV,

When Boinett was appointed the IG, people, especially ODMers referred to him as a 'school boy'.

What they didn't know is that beneath that school boy veneer was a 'total man'!

This is the real total man.

Boinett is in my opinion one of the MOST effective Commissioners we've ever had. He is the best in my opinion.

This guy does not give a flying flip as to what Raila thinks. He knows how to unleash.

Even common small time criminals know Boinett.

Now, reading Sunday's (December 3rd, 2017) Daily Nation headlines, even kunaswa are scared stiff of the so called swearing in. They know that they've pushed this thing too far but then the marauding goons in NASA are egging on babu. He is confused and doesn't know what to do. .on the one hand, he has promised his luo supporters that he'll swear himself in and they can't wait.

On the other, he knows that this is crossing the line and not just with the Kenya government but the rest of the world.

Ja con man might start backtracking on this madness by weaning his luo goon off the 'high' that they are experiencing.......similar to the high one gets from drugs.

JaKuon's boot-in-mouth syndrome got the better of him again.

To counter accusations of cowardice, he had to feed his mad monster by reversing his earlier decision to avoid an illegal swearing-in. Now he has to do something and is in a bind as to what and how.

I predict a very watered down but raucous ceremony, far from Nairobi.

Can you imagine jaCON being sworn in, not only as an unconstitutional president of Kenya but HEAD OF KENYA'S ARMED FORCES!!!. That would be sweet in that the following day he will find himself in Kamiti where his fate will be sealed general Kimati's style

it will just be a private party with the rebel counties of Nyanza declaring Raila their assemblies peoples president then heading to Bondo State House for tea ... bigger tragedy is the elevation via arrest of David Mwangi Ndĩi wa Mami who the people of Ikinu in Githunguri would NOT even elect to be a sub-chief

Kisumu refuses to host Raila's swearing in :D :D coz of the nature of VIOLENT Luo. Nyongo said you cannot swear a man of bloody-violent in the midst of violent people. Now he is looking for a venue in Luhyaland, Busia County. I bet Busia will not allow him because Luos will follow him there armed with stones and other crude weapons

Nyongo refused saying 'any more chaos and violence might doom the Luo economic hub for good'.

I suggest he heads to TZ
