EU observers report on Kenya polls cites bribery, use of State resources

Thieving bastards do not want to see report on Elections. Tabled instead in EU parliament.

Ouro starts off 2018 like he did in 2013, a pariah among EU countries; Ouru will only be visiting corrupt African despots like Zuma of SA and Bashir of Sudan.

The European Union’s chief observer in the August and October 2017 elections says her plans to come to Kenya to present a report on the polls were frustrated.

Ms Marietje Schaake, in a televised address on Wednesday morning from Brussels, said she had to read the report from the European Union parliament so as to meet the EU’s guidelines of presenting a report three months after an election.

“This is one of the very few times that a presentation of an EU mission observation final report takes place here in the European parliament instead of the country where we observed — Kenya,” Ms Schaake said.

“We were entirely prepared to travel to Nairobi this week to present the final report of our recommendations to the government of Kenya as well as to other important stakeholders, of course the most important being the people of Kenya.

TERMS

“We’ve understood, however, that the Kenyan government is not prepared to receive us within the terms foreseen in the memorandum of understanding signed between the EU and Kenya; because that specifies that we will present our final report within three months of the Election Day,” said the Dutch politician.

She then went ahead to read the observations on the election and a summary of her team’s 29 recommendations.

Among the issues she highlighted were paying of people to attend rallies, use of State resources during campaigns, politicians intimidating key independent institutions and a persistent lack of trust on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

She also pointed out the violence by police and civilians during the charged electoral period, noting that “Kenyan people did not fully enjoy their democratic right”.

In her observation, it is Kenyans’ resolve to be peaceful that has averted the country from plunging into war.

“The fact that Kenya is not in a war situation can be attributed to the Kenyan people,” she said.

It looks like she is talking about jaCon and NASA more than Uhuru. Violence, IEBC intimidation and creation of hostile environment was NASA's agenda from beginning. Glad jaCon is Kaput!

Interferance and barking to the iebc was done by both sides and more so the NASA side that kept bullying Chiloba
Paying of people to attend political rallies is not only monopolized by jubilee, there are videos out there of NASA principles doing the same especially Wetangula
Violence by police and civillians no need to expound on that.
This report you are posting here is not going to make uhuru a pariah like you keep insisting. It does not point a finger to just him causing all these things. The report is neither here nor there. But again for you guys anything that paints kenya in a negative light is kosher for you.

NASA politicians did well to make their case for annuling the prior rigged election and in doing so strengthened the rule of law and the courts. Withdrawing was ill-advised a political miscalculation although it had its few positives. Constantly calling for the resignation of a few individuals at IEBC was ill-advised and futile. They also failed to present easily provable electoral illegalities like use of State resources to the courts, yet the courts kept referencing these ommisions. Democracy has many stake holders especially in institutions but here they fail in identifying and seeking common objectives. It is good to see the other stakeholders of democracy demonstrating patience in that project.

Foggy,

Are you saying nusa nusa did NOT threaten IEBC, harm IEBC officials on duty, impede electoral preparations, threaten and harm voters who participated in repeat elections, protest violently and generally create an atmosphere unconducive to free and fair elections?

Hubris, I was responding to Hitler's silly childish argument of "your farts smell far worse than mine"...
Gauging by Jubilee's angry reaction on primetime news (NASA has not reacted) it leaves no doubt that the government has been left with egg and a stinker on its face.

Baba should now bring forward his swearing in date. If politics is about timing then this is the best time for Baba after EU amplified Baba's concerns with this damning report.

There were many other international observers including those from the AU and the US, and none of them are whining about the elections except that Soros bitch Schaake.

Why does the EU's opinion matter more than the Kenya Supreme Court's which verified the conduct of the October 26 presidential election as free and fair, and the August 8 election conduct of the other 5 contests as non-contestable? Is the EU first among equals amongst hundreds of international and local election observers who approved of the IEBC performance?

You fools are so hopelessly brainwashed and wired to worship and lick mzungu arse, that you constantly need to seek approval and validation from them as a thinking, capable human being. Never mind that Europe and the US are now effectively fascist nations where only the elite matter and the rest better behave like obedient sheep, or else you can be arrested and charged with being a terrorist just for browsing an ISIS website, and your family will never see you again.

These are the savages you morons look up to as they pretend to promote liberal democracy in Africa when what they really want is to control our resources, how we think, what we eat and how we do business. In other words, good old colonialism all over again, but you are too needy, too compromised by inferiority complex and too thick headed to think for yourself to see it. Pathetic uncle toms...fucking grow up!

Folks, these report doesn´t much that we don´t know and agree with.

And all the 29 recommendations are fine.

The missing part is NASA boycotting Re-election. This should have been condemned in the strongest sense
