FB, your hatred for Luos is legendary. Your 10 out of 10 nightmare scenario would be Obama's re-election and Raila's presidency in Kenya. I think a place needs to be set aside for mass suicide to be used by rabid racists and tribalist if the nightmare scenario came true.

As a staunch Liberal democrat, I would never support the two idiotic conservatives and Fox noise but Obama needs some spanking. I heard two conservatives talking in a restaurant about how Obama 'has been the most conservative president since idiotic Reagan'.....that, made my blood to boil because most true liberals knows that Obama caved on every major issue that is dear to progressives, unions and minorities. That is why I cannot stand Pierce Morgan, why would anybody give a nut-case like Dinesh time on main-stream TV at prime time. These are the people who are confined to conservative HATE RADIO and not prime time CNN. Ati Obama is anti-colonialist. Who is pro-colonialist?

CNN always struggles with nut-jobs because they also struggle with their greed in trying to lure both left/right leaning viewers. Left Msnbc and right(hate tv) Fox are veterans in detecting nut-jobs and utilizing them appropriately...

where did i mention luos? this is about Obama's family suffering in the slums of Africa while Obama exhorts everyone here in the US to share their wealth. As for Obama getting re-elected, i think he will even though i do not support him anymore. This has nothing to do with him having a luo lineage, i do not like him interfering with Kenyan elections and also taxing me more to finance his entitlement programmes. Being a self made man and having lived long enough in the USA to see how people milk the govt(my and your money), it's hard for me to support a democrat. It's also very hard to vote for republicans cause of their hatefull race baiting message. I am now indifferent to the US politics. As for Kenya, i will continue fighting for opportunists like Raila not to see statehouse. This has nothing to do with him being a luo. I will say it here for the last time, all my life, i have always had best friends from different tribes in Kenya. My best family friend here is a jeng. We have spirited debates on all issues especially the Raila factor. This has never interfered with our friendship as we share many more interest outside of politics and the guy grew up in almost the same enviroment like i did. I value him more than any Kikuyu here outside of my family and will do anything for him and vice versa. The narrative developed here that i hate luos is totally misleading and against my values and biliefs.

I think it is his personal prerogative on whether he should help his relatives or not just like with all of us. There are some relatives that you do not want to bring very close to you because they might end up ruining your chances of achieving whatever you are working on. can you imagine if the president started associating himself with the Kogelo uncle who married an high school teenager? He probably wants to wait for the right time to do those things that you want him to do now. And by the why this shouldn't be a A kikuyu-Luo affair...but just a general discussion.

You hit the nail on the head. Obama's 2008 supporters are less enthusiastic than republicons this time but I think majority will hold their noses and vote. No one wants to see sweeping changes that too place after 2010 midterm shagging.

He was sworn in when unemployment was 7% and almost 4 yrs later it is above 8%. No wonder his demographics are less enthusiastic. I was in carolinas the other day and the Romney bumper stickers are flooding the highways 2:1. I know we had carried the northern carolinas in 2008 but those 15 electoral votes might as well be forgotten as far as bumber sticker polling is converned. Whats up with the 4 electoral votess in NH? Not trying to be palin but I bet you can see Nashua in your Long island condo...
